Start with the buyer’s engineering question.

These answers summarize verified data already present in the FUNEL product library. They do not replace application review: water matrix, range, installation and signal requirements still determine the final configuration.

01Industrial pH

What information is needed to select an industrial pH sensor?

Specify the water chemistry, minimum, normal and peak pH, continuous and cleaning temperature, pressure, fouling risk, mounting, cable length and controller input. A nominal 0–14 pH range alone does not identify the correct glass, junction, housing or signal architecture.

Verified fact
13 XF-series application-specific pH sensors are documented
Verified fact
Pure-water, fermentation, FGD, HF-resistant and high-temperature duties use different constructions
02Dissolved oxygen

How should an optical dissolved-oxygen analyzer be selected for wastewater?

Start with the measuring point—open aeration tank, channel, effluent or pressurized line—then confirm the normal and minimum DO, temperature, pressure, fouling, cleaning access, mounting, cable and required PLC interface.

Verified fact
PFDO analyzers use fluorescence measurement
Verified fact
Published analyzer outputs include 4–20 mA and Modbus RS485
03Turbidity

Which turbidity analyzer is the starting point for filter effluent and finished water?

A documented low-range flow-through analyzer is the normal starting point. Selection still depends on the required optical method, baseline and alarm NTU, sample flow, bubbles, drain arrangement, calibration procedure and outputs.

Verified fact
PLTU-700 published range: 0.001–100 NTU
Verified fact
Published accuracy from 0.001–40 NTU: ±2% of reading or ±0.015 NTU, whichever is greater
04SS / MLSS

Is one suspended-solids range suitable for effluent TSS, MLSS and concentrated sludge?

No. Identify whether the duty is effluent suspended solids, mixed liquor or concentrated sludge, then provide the minimum, normal and peak concentration, homogeneity, bubbles, fouling, cleaning, velocity, pressure and installation.

Verified fact
PSS-800 published configurations extend to 120,000 mg/L
Verified fact
PSS-600 published ranges cover lower and medium solids duties
05Disinfection

What must be confirmed before selecting an online chlorine analyzer?

Confirm the disinfectant and whether the required result is free chlorine, total chlorine, combined chlorine, active oxygen or chlorine dioxide. Then check range, pH, conductivity, temperature, pressure, sample flow, calibration, maintenance and signal outputs.

Verified fact
The portfolio includes colorimetric, constant-voltage and membrane measurement options
Verified fact
Model choice depends on the required chlorine species and water matrix
06UV254 / COD

When is an online UV254 COD analyzer a practical choice?

Use UV absorbance for continuous organic-load trending when the water matrix has a stable relationship between absorbance and the target COD value. Site correlation, turbidity compensation, fouling, cleaning and optical path must be reviewed before the measurement is used for control or reporting.

Verified fact
PUVCOD-900 is the documented wider-range configuration
Verified fact
PUVCOD-600 combines compact UV organic-load and turbidity measurement
07Automatic sampling

Can the PAS-305A sampler integrate with online COD, ammonia, total phosphorus and total nitrogen analyzers?

Yes. PAS-305A is designed for timed, proportional, flow-triggered and externally controlled sampling, with RS-232/RS-485 and analog or digital interfaces for analyzer and station integration. The final architecture must confirm the analyzer protocol and sampling sequence.

Verified fact
25 × 1000 mL bottle configuration
Verified fact
5–1000 mL single-sample volume and 2–9999 minute interval
08Monitoring systems

What is a compact option for distribution-network water-quality monitoring?

PWQ-1000 is the compact project starting point when a cabinet must combine a touchscreen, internal flow path and configurable chlorine or chlorine-dioxide, pH, ORP, conductivity, turbidity, dissolved oxygen, color and temperature measurements.

Verified fact
Published enclosure size: 350 × 270 × 550 mm
Verified fact
7-inch touchscreen, Modbus RS485 and optional remote communications
09System integration

How many sensors can the MUC-200 multiparameter analyzer combine?

The documented MUC-200 configuration combines up to seven compatible sensors. It uses a 7-inch touchscreen and supports project integration through 4–20 mA and Modbus RS485 interfaces.

Verified fact
Up to seven compatible sensors
Verified fact
7-inch touchscreen with 4–20 mA and Modbus RS485
10Portable instruments

Which portable platform covers pH, ORP, conductivity, DO, turbidity, suspended solids, chlorophyll and blue-green algae?

The PMI800 portable platform is organized as eight parameter-specific configurations: PMI800-pH, ORP, EC, FDO, TU, SS, CH and BA. Select one by the required parameter and published range rather than treating the platform as one universal sensor.

Verified fact
Eight documented parameter configurations
Verified fact
Portable data storage, field verification and commissioning workflow
