OIW · Online UV fluorescence

Select online oil-in-water measurement by range, water matrix and industrial duty

POIL-700 and POIL-800 both use reagent-free UV fluorescence for continuous measurement, with different ranges, accuracy, pressure ratings, materials and sensor dimensions.

Confirm oil type, water matrix and concentration span

UV-fluorescence response depends on petroleum composition and the water matrix, so selection cannot rely on maximum range alone. Pressure, material, fouling, cleaning and mounting must be confirmed together.

01

Water matrix and oil type

State surface water, groundwater, drinking water, seawater or industrial wastewater and identify the petroleum or oil type.

02

Minimum, normal and peak

Provide minimum, normal, peak and alarm mg/L—not a single design value.

03

Pressure, material and mounting

Confirm pressure, standard SUS316L or seawater titanium construction, immersion point and service access.

04

Cleaning and interfaces

Confirm fouling, automatic wiper, cable, 4–20 mA, relays, RS485, quantity and destination.

Select by range, pressure, freshwater or seawater construction, probe dimensions and cleaning duty.

03 · Key specifications

Core POIL series technical parameters

Both models use reagent-free online UV fluorescence, include an automatic wiper and provide 4–20 mA, relay and Modbus RS485 interfaces.

04 · Common questions

Confirm this information before an inquiry

How should I choose POIL-700 or POIL-800?+

Start with POIL-700 for 0–50 mg/L, lower-pressure and general environmental-water duty. Compare POIL-800 for 0–100 mg/L, higher pressure, industrial service or seawater construction.

Are reagents required?+

No. Both models use direct continuous measurement by UV fluorescence.

How do the pressure ratings differ?+

POIL-700 is rated to ≤0.1 MPa; POIL-800 is rated to ≤0.4 MPa.

Which outputs are available?+

Both models provide three 4–20 mA outputs, three relays and Modbus RS485.
