Evaluate color, turbidity and installation together

PCT-600 uses visible-light photometry based on the platinum-cobalt color scale. Turbidity, suspended solids, bubbles, fouling and installation location in the actual water can affect selection and maintenance planning.

01

Water matrix and objective

State source water, secondary supply, drinking water or surface water and the color change to be observed.

02

Range and interference

Provide minimum, normal and maximum color plus turbidity, suspended solids, bubbles and fouling.

03

Mounting and cleaning

Confirm pressure, immersion position, mounting, automatic-cleaning need and maintenance access.

04

Interfaces and delivery

Confirm cable, 4–20 mA, relays, RS485, power, quantity and project destination.

03 · Operating applications

Typical color monitoring applications

For continuous Pt-Co color measurement in raw water, secondary supply, drinking water and surface water.

Source water

Continuously monitor color changes at source-water and plant-intake points.

Secondary water supply

Track color in managed secondary-supply systems.

Drinking water

Add continuous color monitoring to drinking-water quality control.

Surface water

Observe color trends in rivers, lakes and environmental monitoring projects.

04 · Common questions

Confirm this information before an inquiry

How does PCU relate to the documented degree value?+

PCU is used as the internationally recognizable color-navigation label. The PCT-600 source values remain stored as 0–100 degrees on the platinum-cobalt scale.

Why are two accuracy values stated?+

The source specifies ±10% or ±1 degree, whichever is greater.

Does the measurement require reagents?+

No. The supplied sheet states direct-immersion visible-light photometry without sampling or chemical reagents.

Can the website image replace a technical drawing?+

No. It provides consistent public presentation. The Ø34 × 244 mm sensor dimensions, transmitter dimensions and mounting remain controlled by the datasheet and order confirmation.
