Select for the actual water matrix and ion compensation

Ion-selective ammonia measurement depends on the water matrix, pH, temperature and interfering ions. Selection must include the process point, minimum-to-peak NH₄-N, potassium conditions, mounting, cable and control interfaces—not only maximum range.

Confirm these conditions before selection

Water matrix and process point

State nitrification, aeration, industrial process, river or other duty and describe the sample.

Minimum to peak NH₄-N

Provide minimum, normal, peak and alarm values within the documented 0.1–3000 mg/L range.

pH, temperature and potassium

Confirm pH, temperature, potassium interference and whether optional K⁺ measurement is required.

Mounting and interfaces

Confirm installation space, cable, power, 4–20 mA, relays, RS485, quantity and destination.

Ammonia nitrogen selection questions

How should I choose PINH3-900 or PINH3-500?+

Both cover NH₄-N 0.1–3000 mg/L. Compare PINH3-900 when optional K⁺ measurement is required; compare PINH3-500 when a smaller probe is preferred.

Do both models include pH and temperature measurement?+

Yes. Both supplied sheets document pH 5–10 and 0–40°C as part of the integrated ammonia measurement and compensation.
